Class of ‘62 August 17, 2012 Lee Alumni and Friends Association: The
Class of ’62, having held its 50-Year Reunion this past June, wishes to
donate remaining funds in the amount of $600 to the LAFA Scholarship
Fund in memory of three of its members 1st Lt. David Ray Blackburn, U.S. Army 30 June 1944 -- 28 November 1967 Capt. David Carlton Brown, U.S. Army 19 April 1944 -- 7 September 1968 Capt. Gerald W Plunkett, U.S. Army 25 April 1944 -- 13 September 1968 It
is the shared belief of many in the Class of ’62 that
it is certainly a worthy goal to "give back"
not only to the school, but also to its students, especially to those
who have excelled. With
tuition costs rising at an accelerated rate in this economic downturn
and because this country's future rests with our young people, whose
education is paramount, it was decided that the best use of these funds
would be towards a scholarship for a deserving student at our alma
mater. Undoubtedly, those
whose memory we honor
