Hi everyone - I graduated from George Mason University in 1985, with a B.A. in Communication. Have been working full time as an insurance agent since 1986. I married John (Falls Church alumni, class of 1980) in 1988 and have two daughters, Natalie (16) and Becky (13). Natalie is going to be a junior at Freedom HS in South Riding, and got those cheering genes from her mom.... Becky dances competitively and will probably try out for Freedom's dance team when she goes to high school in a year.

I am thrilled about this website.  It is great to see what some of us have been up to.   I graduated from Radford University in 1984 with 2 BS degrees-Economics and Marketing.   I worked in DC for 5 years.  I currently live in Roanoke (Southwestern Virginia) with my husband and 3 wonderful daughters (Alyssa-11 years old, Aimee-just turned 2 years old and Audrey-7 months old.)  I quit work at Bell South Communications Systems to sell our family home so we could buy a lot and start building.  My husband and I did about 50% of the work ourselves--What an adventure!!!.  Being at home with 3 kids (2 of which are 18 months apart in age) is another type of adventure, tiring but rewarding.  I also enjoy sewing,
gardening, crafts and learning American Sign Language.  (I use some ASL with my kids so they can "talk" before they can talk.  It is also useful in church!)

I am looking forward to seeing everybody at the reunion.  I am hoping my husband can come but babysitting is not so easy to arrange with 3 kids.  I hope we have an excellent turn out at the reunion.  If there is a picnic maybe we'll try to bring the kids.  If anyone is interested give me an email.

Western Kentucky Univ. for 1 year then transferred to
Santa Barbara City College ( Much harder to concentrate on studying there).  I ended moving to Syracuse NY for 7 years and started a Kinko's Copies company in the state of NY.
I sold the company in 91 and moved back to Kentucy where I

I graduated from Georgia Tech and became Navy Officer in 1984. Still serving 20+ years later - now as a Commander. After spending most of my career driving submarines, I'm currently in command of a cubicle and a PC in Silverdale, Washington (near Seattle). Yes, being on a Navy Staff is not that exciting, but at least I get to watch my kids grow up. We've moved back to the Pacific Northwest, the place we call home after 20 years of moving every 2-3 years. I plan to retire from the Navy pretty soon, and become either an astronaut, a warlord, or maybe an international man of leisure.

While stationed in San Diego in 1988, I met and married my first and only wife, Carol, a CPA. She may have some different opinions about my retirement plans. We have two boys, Nick (12) and Zack (10), who are even more perfect than Lisa Bulley's kids.

I still keep in touch with Jim Lawson - is he great, or what? Did anyone see his Fiddler on the Roof performance? His Tevye was brilliant. I have the DVD if anyone wants to borrow it.

I just got engaged about a month ago (I was trying to hold out till 40  ;) but met the right girl a year or so ago and we'll be married at the end of this year.

I'm thrilled to find out about this website (7/2000), especially since my husband David is in charge of his high school's alumni association, and I know how much work it is to gather information and get the word out.

I graduated from William & Mary in 1984 with a B.A. in English and a certificate to teach secondary education.  Married fellow W&M student in June '84, and due to shortage of teaching positions, I started working with my husband's business (employee benefits). 

We have a son Benjamin (10) and a daughter Hannah (8).  I'm now at home, doing lots and lots of volunteer work in the school and trying to keep the house running smoothly.

Hope I get to the reunion to catch up with everybody.

After Graduation I went to VPI and then transferred to GMU to get my BSN in Nursing and part of my Masters. I got married in 1991 and had 2 children. Andrew is now 12 and Elizabeth is now 10. I moved to TX in 1981, married in '85 and lived in Singapore for about 6 yrs.   My first child (a son) was born there (a great place to live).  Returned to TX for a short while (another son), then moved to Venezuela for about 5 years (yes, we had a child there too - a daughter).  We figured out we needed to stop moving or stop having children - did both.  We have been in TX for the past 5 years and are loving it.  We're still open to overseas living for sometime in the future. I think it gets in your blood - the cultural adventure.  Since living in TX I have been teaching Spanish to middle school students. (Ha. Ha. - I know what some of you are thinking.)

Ok, I'm so rich, I won the lottery, I live in a castle on the beach, I don't have to do anything, people wait on me all day. I got to skip college because I got a labotomy. I have 5 perfect children, who clean their rooms, eat all their veggies and never talk back. They are all in the gifted program. I am beautiful, I have a beautiful body and beautiful nails. I have a rich mother who never gives her opinion on anything and doesn't know how to lecture. I'm seeing a wonderful man who never watches sports on TV, doesn't snore, buys me gifts, can do anything around the house, never looks at other women, always tells the truth, cleans, cooks, agrees with everything I say,and begs me to shop!!!!I have the perfect family and the perfect life, just like I told everyone I would. After graduating from Duke with an engineering degree, I moved to NY, where I worked for IBM for nearly 8 years and where I met my husband, Joe.  We got married in '90, moved to Connecticut where I started law school in the fall of '92.  By the fall of '96, two kids and a J.D. later, I started being a lawyer instead of (or in addition to)joking about one.  Not one to be gainfully employed for too long, I've been home with my kids for three years now, and we now have twins Jack and Matt (2) in addition to T.J. (7) and Andrew (4).  I'll get back to the law someday...but this is pretty cool right now.  We moved to Maryland in 99, and will be moving back to the NY/NJ area sometime this fall or winter.

I'm currently doing technical documentation/curriculum development/new product training for Arthur Andersen. However, I'm still looking for that ONE "get rich quick" scheme that will rapidly propel me into a comfortable retirement (hopefully, before I'm 40). I'm already living in the retirement state: Florida. I've been here since 1993. That's when I was prepared to finally live a life of leisure. Ah, the beaches, the sun, the fireants! In spring of 1997, I met my wife, Kim. Well, she wasn't my wife when I met her, but we were both unmarried and that was good enough for me! We married eight months later. We had to. It was a one hour drive each way between her house and mine... and we enjoyed each other's company too much to limit our visits to once a week or so. And the phone bills were killing us!

We recently bought a house in Bradenton. Now I can do all those things I've only heard about before: Fertilizing the lawn, planting flowers, and climbing up on the roof to hang Christmas decorations (I hate heights)! My interests include spending time with my wife, maintaining and improving our home, creating TV themes in MIDI format and maintaining my web site. Of course, now that we have a new home, I'm also interested in finding great deals at flea markets. God! I am my parents!

I have been an actor for the last 20 years, doing national tours, commercials, voice overs and stage work. I attended VPI from 1980 through 1983, where I missed more classes than I attended, (Theta Xi).  I enlisted in the Army in 1984, but returned to VPI and finished my undergraduate work in 1987.  I have a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in History.  I worked in the environmental industry in Pittsburgh for ten years, cleaning up abandoned steel mills.  I then returned to school where I completed an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics and Science in 1996, and an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1997.  I have worked as a nurse in a hospital for the catastrophically ill in Pennsylvania, prisons in Massachusetts, community mental health in the streets of Trenton, NJ, and I currently work on a locked inpatient psychiatric unit in North Carolina.  Drop me a line and I'll be happy to tell you the rest.  "Lee Lancers onward, on to victory, all Knights and Ladies sing out joyfully.  Our hopes are painted, in the blue and gold.  So unfurl the banners and behold, as we fight for Lee High School".  Can you believe we actually used to sing that?

I went to Florida for less than a year (Major in Tri-Delta) and then my Dad sent me directly to Marymount. Started a major in biology, ran away to the beach and finished with a B.S. in marine biology from Old Dominion. Since I don't like working with carcinogens in the Elizabeth River, I got married to a great guy from Louisiana. We have 3 spectacular kids (16,13, and 8) Two boys and a princess. And now I teach Algebra in Va. Beach. And I must say I am pretty good at it too, in great thanks to my time with Mr. Parilla and Mr. Coleman. (And High School isn't what it used to be.) The beach life is great with the summers off. We get back to No. Va. to visit my brother (Scott.. 1981) and my in-laws.

How does one fill in the blanks for the last 28 years without writing a novel . . . Well for starters I married an incredible man in 84, Mark Stone (a graduate of Edison), had two sons (who take my breath away in more ways then one.) Justin is 21 & in his 4th year at UVA, and Jeremy is 19 & in his 2nd year at JMU. Moved from Fairfax in 1987 to Spotsylvania and built our own home in 1994. Did the norm when our kids were younger, ran them all over the county and state to various soccer and baseball games. Golf now dominates as the family sport. Mark travels the country & world with FEMA and USAID, even though his daily job was with Fairfax County Fire & Rescue (medic, 27 years, retired) he now works with Stafford Fire & Rescue (Public Relations) and still travels with FEMA/USAID. I split my time between home and working at a high school as a Library Assistant, love it…no stress, home by 3pm and summers off, who can beat that! I enjoy anything that get's me outside.

What a great avenue for catching up with old friends. I hear there is a big 50th anniversary celebration and am hoping to attend. Maybe we will see you there. Send me an email, would love to hear from old friends too. . .love to do lunch outings or fun nights out...kids are grown time to play!!!
