We regret to inform all of the Alumni and the class
of 1964 that Kathy (Kate) Faircloth, died
Tuesday March 25 2014.
Katherine Elaine "Kate" Faircloth, 67, left this life
after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was surrounded by family and close friends, who provided comfort and
love. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1946 to Neil Lawrence
Faircloth and Elizabeth "Betty" Hegedus Faircloth who pre-deceased her.
During her life she had many interesting vocations and hobbies, retiring
from Delta Airlines after a 22 year career. Kate truly enjoyed
entertaining people, hosting many wonderful dinners for friends.
She had many talents including interior design. She enjoyed life, had a
contagious laugh, a kind heart and quick wit. She had many friends,
including lifelong friends that she called "The family I chose".
Kate is survived by her first cousin Barbara (Hal Philips) Carter, her
friend of 37 years Theresa (Dennis) Miller, her friend of 25 years,
Kathy Dunne and her very close friend of 10 years, Paola (Paul) Snyder
and many other cousins and friends who all loved her dearly.
