It is
with deepest regrets that we must inform all R.E. Lee High
School Alumni and the Class of 1972 that Michael Hartley, of
Lee's Summit, passed
away on February 13, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Johnson
Hartley, his son Justin Hartley of Eustis,
Fla., two step-sons; Gregory Johnson of
Holden and Lon Johnson of Lee’s Summit; two
step-daughters, Melissa Smith and husband
Bill and Angie Johnson all of Lee’s Summit,
four grandsons; Luke Hartley of Eustis,
Fla., Brandon Smith, Colby Johnson and Blake
Smith all of Lee’s Summit, his
granddaughter, Nichole Johnson of Lee’s
Summit, two great-grandchildren, Ellie
Johnson and Landon Smith of Lee’s Summit and
his brother David Hartley of Virginia Beach,
VA., and his sister Kari Hutcheon of Santa
Fe, N.M.
A visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 16,
2012. Memorial contributions may be made to
Silent Unity. Online condolences and
