Bobby, front middle horizontal was Jan's birthday present to Wendy.
Is Jan generous and liberal, understanding and trusting, or just nuts?

Wendy and I went on a cruise to Norway this summer to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, going to the north, the far north, north of the North Cape, north of the old World War II arctic convoy routes that went from Iceland to Archangel around the North Cape, all the way north to Spitsbergen Island.  It was quite an adventure, two weeks on the high seas cruising along the Norwegian coast up to Spitsbergen, about 600 miles from the North Pole, and even though I didn’t see Santa Claus it was so cool, way cool!  And if the heat is getting you down, just gaze upon the glacier in the first photo at our farthest northern point on the voyage on a warmish day in June, well warmish by Arctic standards anyway!

Another highlight of the cruise was the candle light dinner and here we are in the second photo with Miss Wendy all dressed up in her formal gown for the affair.  As we haven’t actually been into the dining room yet, you won’t see the butter spot on my tie that came later …

I heard it was 101 degrees in DC the other day, now it did set a record for the date here in Tega Cay, but it was only 97, oh and I didn’t wear a tie all day!  When it gets really hot and steamy, just gaze upon the glacier!
