Robert E. Lee High School is proud to announce the dedication of our
new memorial garden to honor the memory of our alumni and friends.
Our dedication ceremony was held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at
11:15am, on the front lawn near entrance 13. Over this past summer,
the long planned idea finally took shape. Our memorial garden, long
discussed and hoped for, was made possible when Lee High School
personnel, PTSA personnel, and Nathanael Jones, a senior working on
his Eagle Scout project, came together last spring.
The brief Veteran’s Day program included the presentation of the
colors by the Lee jROTC, singing of several selections by the Lee
Madrigals, performance by the Lee High School Orchestra Quartet and
a brief dedication of the garden by Principal Abe Jeffers.
Family and friends of those remembered, as well
as the general Lee High School community attended and celebrated
this special occasion.
