Robert West Sherwood, 75, of Summerville, SC, passed away at his residence. Memorial Services were held Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018 at 4 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name may be made to The Timrod Literary and Library Association, 217 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483.
Bob was born December 2, 1942 in Miami, FL, the oldest of three sons, to the late Robert Marion Sherwood and Annette Virginia Clary Sherwood. He was an Engineer before retiring as a teacher from Germana Community College in Virginia. He loved to play golf, go sailing, and was an avid reader. He honorably served in the United States and was a Veteran. He had been stationed in Korea following the Korean war.
Bob leaves behind his daughter, Diane S. Robinson of Summerville, SC; his brother, John L. Sherwood and his wife Marie of Athens, GA; and a grandson, David Z. Robinson of Las Vegas, NV. In addition to his parents, Robert and Annette Sherwood, he is predeceased by a brother, William Clary Sherwood.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26 from 10 am - 11 am with services starting at 11 am in the chapel of Steele's Family Funeral Services, 207 Burns Lane, Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations to Veterinary Healthcare Association, Winter Haven, FL.
