Dave served in Korea
during the U.S.S. Pueblo crisis in 1968, followed by a one-year tour of
combat duty in
Vietnam.
Later, while piloting an F-4E Phantom Jet on December 17, 1973,
his plane went down near
Anchorage,
Alaska, where he was stationed.
Searchers were unable to locate his remains or the plane.
Dave was 30. He is
survived by his wife, Dana Tierney Grimm, also a member of the Class of
’61, and four children. Dave is
memorialized at Arlington
National
Cemetery. |
