Lee's
Future Business Leaders
need financial support

The FBLA National Leadership Conference and Competitions will be held in Nashville, Tennessee.  The Lee delegation consisting of myself and six students will be leaving June 27th and will be at the convention until July 3rd.  During that time the students will see and/or work with the close of the PBL (college level), participants for the Institute for Leaders, the inner workings of a national officer campaign, workshops in leadership, the latest topics in business, and financial literacy, and of course the finals for the chapter events, Community Service, Partnership with Business, Business Plan, and American Enterprise.  Having the new leadership team see these events in action with the officers who won our national championship would provide an exceptional and unique training experience.  The other members include:  National competitor Hannah Smith (10th grade…exceptional leadership potential, developed the last two presentations for the Key Middle School presentations.) Lavendar Phan and Jonathan Barrera who both worked with the National Championship winning American Enterprise project and worked to keep the school boundaries in place. The other two members of the team are our new NOVA Region Parliamentarian, Carlos Capllonch, and Virginia State Officer, Giovanni Biancaniello who worked long hours with the Project ASK drive and reception to help Virginia’s children with cancer and forge a partnership with the ASK Board of Directors. (The project won 1st again at States).

The expense breakdown estimate per person is:
Air--225.10; Shuttle--40.00; Hotel--331.32; Registration--100.00 = 696.42    Roughly $4,865 and we have received generous donation of $1000 from the PTSA :) so that puts us at $3,865 (not including the usually end-of-year activities for the chapter or the leadership camps).  We have made $300 so far from a bake sale and a walk-a-thon type activity after school and will be having a hat and bake sale on May 31st with as many bake sales as we are allowed after that. Considering that we have to have the account in the black by the end of June, we're going to be baking a lot of brownies over the next month.:)
