I was surprised and deeply saddened to learn from Larry Dunn '64 that his brother Ron
'63 passed at Fairfax Hospital yesterday (Friday December 22, 2000). The last time I
saw Ron was just several weeks ago as I was driving down Essex to visit a Lee classmate's
mother who lives on Backlick. Ron was in his electric motorized go-like-hell cart and was
waiting to cross Backlick at Essex. I honked and waved and his face lit up. He
waved back and faked a challenge to drag race. I declined only because I was turning
left on Backlick and he was headed East on Essex.

Dear classmates and friends,
My big brother Ron Dunn ( LHS Class of 63), died yesterday 22 December 2000, in the late
afternoon at Fairfax Hospital. He passed on peacefully and with his family in attendance.
We will all miss him greatly. His survived by his eldest daughter Michelle ( LHS
graduate), his eldest son Ryan (LHS Graduate), his second eldest son Christopher ( now
attending LHS), his middle daughter Ashley (14 years old), his youngest daughter Kelsey
(11 years old) and his
wife Linda.
Family visitation services and the memorial services will all be held at the First Baptist
Church of Springfield, located at 7300 Gary Street in Springfield, Virginia. The telephone
number at the church is 703-451-1500 and Jim Weaver is the pastor.
The services will be on Wednesday the 27th of December 2000. It was Ron's choice to be
cremated therefore there will not be services at a funeral home. Instead there will be the
following services: 11AM --- visitation with the family at the church 12PM --- Memorial
services at the church.
Ron's family resides at their home in Springfield at 6824 Inverness Drive, Springfield,
Virginia 22150.
If you know any of Ron's friends who have not heard of the memorial service please pass
this information to them.
