It is with great regret that I inform of all
R.E. Lee High School Alumni and the
Class of 1968 of the death of my dear brother
Joseph Julian Jenkins, aka "Joe". Joe died Saturday
morning, November 18, in Greensboro, NC where he resided.
Joe
was diagnosed with Agent Orange Disease 5 years ago. It's been a
devastating disease (it attacks the vascular system, etc, he had three
toes removed recently)..... Though this diseased could have
robbed Joe from living life, he chose not to allow that.
As
painful, and as much as he suffered from the disease, he still lived
life....... He was playing golf a few days ago. This was
unexpected.
We will
truly miss him. The Good News is that he is now pain free living with
our God. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, one child, Ellie Jo
10 years old, four brothers, and one sister.
His OBIT
will be in the paper either Monday or Tuesday of this week.
His funeral will be Tuesday morning, 11:00 in Madison, NC.
