In Memoriam

Teresa Mancini
Minko

A Lancer out of sight
Never out of mind

We are sorry to inform the Class of '93 and the Lee community that Teresa Mancini Minko passed away  Monday, April 3, 2023 surrounded by family members.

Teresa was born on September 10, 1976 to Anthony J. Mancini and Linda S. (née McDonald) Mancini in Portsmouth, NH. Teresa graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1993 and studied International Business and Finance at James Madison University.

After graduation she worked for various companies in the International Business sector including Capital One in McLean, VA, the Academy for Educational Development (AED) in Washington, DC, Development Training Services (dTS) in Arlington, VA and most recently as a project manager for Palladium Group in Washington, DC. Her work for these companies gave her the opportunity to engage her passion for travel and helping those who were socially and economically disadvantaged. She spent considerable time in South Africa and Liberia, as well as shorter stints in Colombia, Nigeria, and Belgium. Between work and leisure, Teresa visited over 30 countries worldwide.

Teresa is survived by her five year old son David Ronny Minko as well as her mother and father and two sisters, Lisa Anne (née Mancini Dean) Merkatoris of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Sister Mary Clare Mancini, OCD of Alhambra, CA along with multiple nieces and nephews.

Teresa will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends. A private person, with a fierce sense of independence, she enjoyed foreign travel and assignments in pursuit of her career goals and the friendships she made along the way.
